Parallel’s Director of Data Center Strategy, Tim Kittila, was invited to share the stage to deliver the keynote presentation with Wayne McGurk, CIO of MoneyGram to discuss a real-world case study at the 7×24 Data Center 2016 fall conference held at the JW Marriott in Phoenix, AZ.
The seminar attendees first heard Mr. McGurk talk about the threats MoneyGram needed to mitigate in their main data center facility, and why they chose to go the path they took for the project. Tim Kittila then shared about the data center planning, design, and execution of the plan that was essential to complete the project on time, on budget, and WITHOUT any unplanned outages.
The project was a complete success. To validate this assessment: within a year of completion, MoneyGram’s facility took a major power outage from a thunderstorm, but none of the data center operations were impacted. Everything worked exactly as planned.
