Flaherty to focus efforts on growing company’s Data Center Managed Services capability

MINNEAPOLIS – August 29, 2017 – Parallel Technologies, an industry-leading reliable data center and intelligent building solutions company, has hired long-time Twin-Cities technology icon Chris Flaherty. The former N’Compass Technologies CEO will be tasked with growing the company’s data center managed services capability.

“We are truly thrilled to have the opportunity to bring someone with the data center knowledge and background that Chris has onto the Parallel Technologies team,” said Dale Klein, president and CEO of Parallel Technologies. “Over his career, he has pioneered the use of software to manage data center operations. With his unique understanding of data centers, he is the ideal person to shape and grow our Managed Services capability.”

In 2000, Flaherty co-founded N’compass Solutions (now N’compass Technologies), a Minneapolis-based software and services company focused on developing new innovations in IT optimization and collaboration with the business. Under his guidance, the company developed an innovative Data Center management software platform that collects and disseminates critical information about data center operations.
According to Flaherty, “as the world of ‘big data’ grows, so does the need for services that support company’s data center — whether on premise or colocation. However, not every company wants to be in the data center business and software solutions only go so far. And this is where managed services can help.”

“As I researched my next move within the data center industry, all roads led to Parallel Technologies,” said Flaherty. “I have always been impressed with the strength of the talent at Parallel. Even more impressive is the company’s direction and I am excited about helping take it to the next level.”

Over his career, Flaherty has worked with clients in numerous key industries, including healthcare, education, financial services and retail. He has compiled extensive experience in business development and customer relations. Following graduation from Bates College in Maine, he worked for a number of organizations including Ashton Tate, Packard Bell, and Galaxy Computer.

Flaherty resides in Champlin, Minn. with his wife. Together they visit hospitals and hospices with their therapy dog, Tre (a 120 lb. Rottweiler).
