Parallel Technologies, an industry-leading reliable data center and intelligent building solutions company, has promoted Tom Herr to Vice President of Sales. An elevation of his previous role as Director of Strategic Accounts, Herr now has responsibility for the growth of the company’s Intelligent Building and Data Center business units and is charged with ensuring that the sales team continues to bring new and innovative solutions to its customers.

Since joining Parallel Technologies in 2008 as a Senior Account Executive, Herr has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to develop trusted relationships with clients, partners and colleagues and deliver upon the company’s core values of exceeding client expectations and adding value to each engagement. Most recently, as Director Strategic Accounts, Herr was instrumental in leading the sales strategy and developing a cross-business unit methodology to ensure the company was providing the best value for its best customers.

Herr earned his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. While there, he began his technology career as an IT Specialist. Following graduation, he worked as an Account Executive for World Data Products.
Herr resides in Mound, Minn. with his wife Michelle and their son.
