Parallel Technologies Hosts Red Hat Storage Workshop

Red Hat has been touring major cities in the nation, presenting hands-on workshops for attendees wanting to learn more about how to install and get started with Red Hat Storage. This is a leading open, software-defined storage platform for data protection.

Facilities for these workshops have been provided by major hotels in Chicago (IL), Boston (MA), San Diego (CA), Dallas (TX), Washington, D.C., Denver (CO), New York City (NY), and Fort Lauderdale (FL). Minneapolis (MN) was the final tour stop, but this time Parallel’s corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN, was chosen as the event’s location.

On June 19, Parallel opened its doors to attendees from the region and accommodated the Red Hat team with use of its state-of-the-art “Parallel Integration Center” (PIC). Parallel prepared for the 45 additional wireless connections to be used by guests while practicing in Red Hat’s online lab during the workshop.

Attendees learned practical strategies and the basics of Red Hat Storage, including:

  • How to get started
  • Red Hat best practices for data protection
  • How Red Hat Storage works across different cloud platforms for disaster recovery.

The workshop was well received by participants who work as; senior system/storage administrators, senior Linux® system administrators, and IT managers/directors who are closely involved with data center storage management solutions.

Thank you to all attendees and to Red Hat for the honor of hosting this workshop.
