Parallel Technologies, an industry-leading facilities and IT infrastructure company, has hired Nate Josephs as a lead consultant for its Data Center Operations.

In this role, Josephs is the main client interface for projects pertaining to data center operations and outsourcing. He reports to Tim Kittila, PE, director of Data Center Practice and works closely with the company’s Data Center Assessment team.

A seasoned technology data center operations manager, Josephs joins Parallel Technologies with more than 25 years of experience in data center development and management. Over the course of his career, Josephs has managed multiple data centers totaling nearly 70,000 square feet.

“The most pressing question in the data center industry is whether to build/retrofit, co-locate or go to the cloud,” said Kittila. “Having spent time managing corporate and colocation data centers, Josephs is uniquely qualified to help companies improve efficiency and operations. His first-hand experience with company-owned and colocation data centers provides clients with insight and counsel as to what makes the most sense for their business and common pitfalls to avoid.”

Most recently, Josephs was the OneNeck IT Solutions Data Center Facilities Manager for its Eden Prairie, Minn. facility. In this position, he led a team of data center technicians and building engineers and managed Tier III design certified data center including physical security, power, cooling, building automation systems, cabling, racks and overall building maintenance. Prior to OneNeck IT Solutions, he was the data center manager at Altegrity and data center facilities manager at Carlson Companies.

A resident of Excelsior, Minn, Josephs has an undergraduate degree in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska. He is currently pursing his MBA from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. Josephs began his career in architecture after attending Hennipen Technical College in Minneapolis.
