Few things are better than spending a beautiful, warm spring day at the ballpark.

Beautiful CHS Field in downtown St. Paul provided the ideal conditions for Parallel and key partners Axis and Genetec to host a series of seminars covering topics related to helping organizations ensure their physical security systems are secure from cyber and internal threats. While there was no baseball game scheduled that day, a “crowd” of nearly 25 clients attended the event.

The keynote was delivered by Robert Brown, Systems & Solutions Architect for Axis Communications’ Professional Services, on the topic of “Security of Security.” The content reviewed and discussed new and critical processes and technologies to ensure that physical security systems are also constructed and operate “cyber” secure. After the keynote, an excellent lunch that was enjoyed on the patio overlooking the ballpark. Following lunch, Genetec’s Greg Kemper shared his a unified, highly- secure Video Monitoring Software platform is essential to operating a physical security system. Nick Pintaro from Axis then provided an overview on how their IP Cameras can align with the requirements that organizations need to secure and protect their assets. The sessions were wrapped up by Parallel’s Director of Strategic Accounts, Tom Herr, who shared how a best-of-breed physical security solution can be implemented by a vendor with both an understanding of the technology, and understanding how it must operate cyber-secure as well.

The day was wrapped up with a tour of CHS Field in optimal spring-weather conditions. It was a fitting and ideal way to wrap up a fun – but productive and informative – day at the ballpark.

We are grateful to our partners and sponsors, Axis and Genetec, for hosting and allowing Parallel to participate in this event. We are also extremely grateful to our clients who were able to make time and enjoy this special day with us.
