Accounting Specialist

Brief Description:
Parallel Technologies Inc. is looking for a full time Accounting Specialist to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem solving skills, be comfortable learning new tools, possess strong Microsoft Office skills, be attentive to detail, have a strong understanding of accounting/finance, and always be reliable.

Reports To: Controller

Essential Duties:

  • Process all purchase order invoices
  • Review & approve weekly technician timecards
  • Reconcile & report state sales & use tax
  • Monthly corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Monitor & report monthly Account Manager spend
  • Work with Project Coordinators and Project Managers to resolve accounting discrepancies within projects
  • Create, monitor & post accruals and other monthly journal entries
  • Assist with month‐end financial close & year‐end audits
  • Analyze overhead cost allocations between business units
  • Participate in budget preparation and financial forecast projections
  • Assist with various HR functions and duties such as background checks and new hire orientation
  • Perform other tasks and duties assigned from time to time

Additional Expectations:

  • Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks
  • Abide by all internal procedures, policies and regulatory guidance
  • Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time

Brief Description:
Security Systems Technicians installs and services network-based security systems, including cable installation, device mounting, door routing, wire terminations and connectivity.

Reports To:
Physical Security Operations Manager

•Ability to install, program, configure and service a variety of video surveillance and access control systems
•Install surveillance cameras in a variety of environments
•Install access control components in a variety of environments
•Install cable and pathways effectively and timely meeting company and customer quality expectations
•Terminate and test voice, video and data cables
•Ability to organize/lead projects in the field and report back to project manager
